Dawn slowly walked down the path that lead to her sister's home. It wasn't even twenty feet from her own home, but to Dawn the walk seemed to take a life time. It was just a few days ago when Dawn had told Jenifer what had happened to Jacen and she hadn't had the heart to talk to her since then, and for that she felt guilty.
Letting out a long sigh Dawn held back the anger she felt. She felt pissed off at everyone it seemed. She was mad at Izzy for talking Jacen into going with him. She was mad at Jacen for agreeing to go with him and most of all she was mad at the monsters that captured him... It had been just a few days ago that Izzy came back without her husband and told her what happened. No one seemed willing to go directly to the dragon's territory to get him back, if he was still alive that is. It was to much of a risk. The place was swarming with dragons. Dawn would have gone herself if she was able to, but she knew there was no way she would be able in the condition she was in.
Lefting her head up she stared at the wooden door in front of her and lifted her hand to give a knock. "Jen... It's me..." She said softly, hoping Jenifer would be able to forgive her. Slowly Dawn pulled the door open and walked in. She quickly glanced around expecting to see Jenifer somewhere in there, but there seemed to be no sign of her.

Jenifer was waiting by the walkie, hoping for her brother to say her name, she couldn't wait to hear his voice again and wanted him to come home soon. She wanted to go looking for him for herself but thought Dawn needed her more. Someone like her, that would understand her hurt, would be her sister. She felt she could help Dawn as much as Dawn could help her.
Mainly she was upset with Dawn because she hadn't spoken to her since she told her about Jacen. She was angry with Jacen for leaving her, not to mention leaving his wife in the state she is in! She felt she would kill him, as soon as she found out he was alright that is. But, even though she was upset with them him, she still missed him a lot.
She was also hoping Dawn would come and talk with her about Jacen. She desperately needed someone to talk with and no one would understand like her sister. After all, Dawn was just like the sister she never had. She was just getting ready to walk out the back door to go see Dawn when suddenly.... she heard her name. "Dawn! You finally came! I've been waiting for you." As she walked up to her she smiled and gave her a hug. "I've really been needing to talk to you."

Dawn's body gave a slight jump when she finally saw and heard Jenifer... It was almost like she came out of nowhere. Letting out a sigh of relief, Dawn quickly returned the hug. "I'm sorry, Jen." She whispered as she lightly rested her chin on Jenifer's shoulder as she hugged her. "I'm sorry I haven't came or talked to you... It's just-" Dawn paused and pulled out of the hug so she could look as Jen properly. "Well... There really isn't an excuse for me not being here for you like I should have been. I was just upset and angry that I didn't really feel like talking to anyone." She explained the best she could.
Dawn backed up a little and grabbed Jenifer's hand. She then walked over to the small couch like thing that was pushed up against one wall. It kind of looked like a bunch of cushions from other various objects that were duck taped together to create a couch. Dawn slowly took a seat and patted the spot next to her to tell Jen to take a seat as well.
"I really am sorry, Jen." Her voice was becoming strained. "We can talk about anything and everything you want... If-If you don't want to talk about Jacen we don't have to." She informed her as she tried to give her the best reassuring smile she could muster.

"That's exactly what I needed to talk to you about!" she said, louder than she intended. "I've been waiting for you to come. Don't worry about excuses Dawn, you are here now and that's all that mattered." Jenifer returned a fleeting smile back at Dawn in an attempt to make her feel better. She was just so excited she was actually screaming. It felt like forever since she had talked to Dawn and she just couldn't contain herself.
"I didn't mean to make you jump when I cam through. I was waiting by the walkie. Hoping that maybe, just maybe Jacen still had his and I would hear him or he would say he was on his way home and just lost Izzy or something. But I know that's foolish, he would've never gotten seperated from Izzy," she said it with such dismay that she was afraid she had upset Dawn as well, that was most surely not her intention. But Jacen and Dawn were the only family she knew. It would kill her if she found out Jacen had been hurt or killed. She knew Dawn felt the same way.
"Enough about how I'm feeling though. How are you feeling? This has to be harder on you than it is on me. After all, you're the one having the baby," she said that with a bit of a giggle and thought she saw Dawn's spirits lightening and a hint of a smile on her face. And then her expression changed. "You are. You're just as scared as I am, aren't you?"
